Areas included in VDHR File Number 2007-0417 consist of 33 forestry areas covering 1,639.89 hectares (4,052.24 acres). Areas included in VDHR File Number 2008-0110 consist of 39 forestry areas covering 2,489.52 hectares (6,151.71 acres).

The objective of the archaeological survey was to identify any historic properties that may be located within the proposed forestry blocks and evaluate the potential eligibility of any such resources for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. Twenty-four previously recorded archaeological sites (44CE0042, 44CE0048, 44CE0062, 44CE0123, 44CE0299, 44CE0358, 44CE0365, 44CE0425, 44CE0426, 44CE0428, 44CE0431, 44CE0466, 44CE0468, 44CE0492, 44CE0495, 44CE0496, 44CE0497, 44CE0507, 44CE0509, 44CE0511, 44CE0512, 44CE0513, 44CE0518, and 44CE0525) and 22 previously unrecorded archaeological sites (44CE0529, 44CE0530, 44CE0531, 44CE0532, 44CE0533, 44CE0534, 44CE0535, 44CE0536, 44CE0537, 44CE0538, 44CE0539, 44CE0540, 44CE0541, 44CE0542, 44CE0543, 44CE0544, 44CE0545, 44CE0546, 44CE0547, 44CE0548, 44CE0549, and 44CE0550) were identified during the surveys.

Twenty-three sites are recommended not eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places and 23 sites are recommended potentially eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. While sites 44CE0048, 44CE0123, 44CE0358, 44CE0546, 44CE0547, 44CE0548 will be flagged and avoided during proposed forestry activities, none of the remaining archaeological sites will be avoided during the proposed activities.
