Summary

1992-1993 Cultural Resources Inventory of 17,068 Acres within 11 Selected Areas of the Fort Sill Military Reservation, Fort Sill, Oklahoma. This report presents the results of an intensive archeological survey of 17,068 acres located within 11

parcels of land on the Fort Sill Military Reservation in Comanche County, Oklahoma. Archival research and informant interviews were also conducted to identify potential historic sites and to assess the significance of recorded historic sites. The cultural resource assessments presented here represent one phase of the efforts of the Fort Sill Military Reservation to meet its legal esponsibilities for the identification, evaluation, and treatment of cultural resource properties under its jurisdiction. This research

was conducted under contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District. The intensive survey and the associated research was conducted by the Cultural Resources Division of Geo-Marine, Inc., between August and October of 1992.
