Temporal variation was addressed using the traditional Hohokam chronology and the site-specific chronology defined in Volume 2. Spatial contrasts focused on distinctions between the Mound 8 assemblages and those of the surrounding residential area. A discussion of mortuary practices that emphasizes the nature of associated artifacts is presented in the final chapter.
