Site 48SW5377 is located approximately 5 miles east of Rock Springs, Wyoming along Bitter Creek on a stabilized sand dune. The site appears to represent only a single component, which was dated to 980 + 90 BP. Both pollen and macrofloral analyses were conducted on samples representing the cultural component and several features, while the stratigraphic column was analyzed only for pollen.
