Three samples of bone collected from Cuncaicha Rockshelter in Peru were pulverized at the University of Arizona and received for XAD purification and AMS radiocarbon dating. These samples represent three unique specimens identified as vicuña (Vicuna mensalis) or Andean deer (Hippocamelus antisensis).

Two sediment samples and four rocks recovered in a trench at CA-SHA-2435 (Keswick Boat Ramp Cabin), situated on an ancestral terrace and hill along the Sacramento River, were submitted for analysis. A major historic (1890s to early 1900s) copper mining and smelting operation was located in this vicinity. A prehistoric camp is overlain by a cabin foundation and possible ore roasting features.
