In 1995 the skull of a subadult male bison was recovered from the cutbank of Fawn Creek, Lemhi County, Idaho, by a ranger for the Salmon-Challis National Forest. The residue recovered from the bottom of an Anasazi black-on-white bowl found in Burial 4 of Group 4 in the Bob Shields Ruins near Goodman School in Montezuma County, Colorado by Cliff Chappell in April of 1961 was examined for pollen and fibers.
