Four pollen and four macrofloral samples were collected and analyzed from an Early Basketmaker II pithouse located on Manzanares Mesa. The site is situated in a pinyon-juniper ecotone which contains far more juniper than pinyon. This pithouse is of vertical wall construction, and contained no pottery. Radiocarbon ages of 2020 ± 70 BP and 2200 ± 70 BP have been returned from wood interpreted to have been used in the house contruction. The pollen and macrofloral samples were analysed to...
