Eight pollen samples were collected from a sinkhole 2 m in diameter and 2 m deep at site #50-Oa-B6-2BO. At the time of occupation, during historic times, this area of the Ewa Plain was used as a seasonal fishing/habitation area. Small vegetable gardens were planted where possible on the bedrock or in shallow sinkholes.
