Site 48AB396 was located in 1982 during a class III cultural resource survey of the Rob Roy Reservoir project in Albany County, Wyoming (Eckles and Scott 1983). The site is located on the eastern side of Douglas Creek at 9240 ft in the Snowy Range Mountains of southeastern Wyoming.
