Initial excavations at the Genevieve Lykes Duncan Site (41BS2615) on the 02 Ranch, approximately 25 miles south of Alpine in Brewster County, Texas, identified it as a buried, open campsite with three locales. Two charcoal samples, collected between and around the rocks of a buried hearth (Feature 18) and a buried thermal feature (2) at the Broadway Locale were submitted for identification.
