Site ESS-2019-BEN-088, a prehistoric lithic and ceramic scatter, is situated in the Tularosa basin within the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) of southern New Mexico. This site contains three high density artifact concentrations and three thermal features. POLLEN AND DIATOM ANALYSIS FOR OFF-SITE TRENCHES AT FB 16004, FB 16006, AND FB 16008, FORT BLISS, NEW MEXICO (2009)
Four trenches were cut through a low lying playa surrounded by large eolian dune piles and sand sheets in the Tularosa Basin of New Mexico. Six sediment samples from three of the trenches (Geological Trench 1 and 2 and FB 16008) were submitted for pollen and diatom analysis.
