Site ESS-2019-BEN-088, a prehistoric lithic and ceramic scatter, is situated in the Tularosa basin within the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) of southern New Mexico. This site contains three high density artifact concentrations and three thermal features. All three thermal features were sampled for macrofloral identification and two features contained sufficient charcoal that individual pieces were submitted for identification. Four trenches were cut through a low lying playa surrounded by large eolian dune piles and sand sheets in the Tularosa Basin of New Mexico. Six sediment samples from three of the trenches (Geological Trench 1 and 2 and FB 16008) were submitted for pollen and diatom analysis.
