Between May 5 and May 8 of 2017, Versar, Inc., conducted a National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) evaluation of five sites within U.S. Air Force Oscura Bombing and Gunnery Range on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), Lincoln County, New Mexico. Of the five sites evaluated during this investigation, two prehistoric sites are recommended eligible for inclusion in the NRHP and three are recommended ineligible.

A total of 15 previously unrecorded archaeological sites (LA 111304 - LA 111317, LA 111442) and 151 isolated occurrences were encountered and recorded during this survey. In addition, five previously recorded sites (LA 86477 - LA 86479, LA 60700, LA 60701) were identified and updated where necessary (only LA 60700 required updating).
