Feature fill sediment samples and groundstone tools from site LA 159879, Luna County, New Mexico, were submitted for various combinations of pollen, phytolith, and starch grain analysis. Archaeological field investigations at LA 159879 suggest that the site represents the remains of a Late Archaic period base camp.
