From September 13 to December 13, 1976, an archeological crew from the Museum of Northern Arizona surveyed the Arizona portions of two alternate corridors proposed for a 500 kV transmission line by Southern California Edison Company. The two routes are located in southern Arizona stretching from the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station west of Buckeye to the Colorado River near Ehrenberg.
