Prewitt and Associates, Inc., conducted archeological investigations at the Camp Bullis Military Reservation from January to June 2001. The investigations consisted of a pedestrian survey of 4,423 acres (1,789 hectares) in Training Areas 1B, 5D, 5E, 7, 8B, 10, and 11B and National Register test excavations at sites 41BX1031, 41BX1032, 41BX1035, 41BX1220, and 41CM211. This report summarizes archeological and paleoenvironmental data from caves and other karst features at the Camp Bullis Military Reservation. Most archeological materials found in caves were primarily in secondary contexts, having been deposited from the surface by natural processes such as sheetwash or overland flow.
