Between January 18 and July 1, 2005, archaeologists from Environmental Planning Group (EPG) conducted data recovery at a portion of the Las Canopas Site (AZ T:12:137[ASM]) within the City of Phoenix. Las Canopas is a large Hohokam village that extends more than 1 mile. Previous testing at the site identified at total of 46 features, including 5 cremations and 5 inhumations (Dobschuetz 2004b).
