This research design describes New South's approach to archaeological investigations of four sites located at the Poinsett Electronic Combat Range, Sumter County, South Carolina. Sites 38SU18 and 38SU243 represent prehistoric occupations and Sites 38SU150 and 38U196 date to the nineteenth through twentieth centuries. The objective of the proposed archaeological investigations is to evaluate the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligibility of these four sites.
