Cutright #2 Site (12MO173) 1987

The USACE, Louisville District obtained the collection through an archaeological test excavation at the Cutright #2, Lake Monroe Reservoir Project in 1987. Test excavations at the Cutright #2 Site (12MO173) were done by Glenn A. Black Laboratory of Archaeology, Indiana University (GBL) in contract with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Reservoirs. Fieldwork consisted of hand excavated trenches to assess the integrity of archaeological deposits and was conducted under the supervision of Jeffery A. Myers and Patrick J. Munson, from July 7 to July 30, 1986 (Myers and Munson 1987). There is one accession numbers for this investigation, 6619, which is associated with site number 12MO173. The site is identified using the conventional trinomial system; the county symbol employed is MO which represents Monroe County, Indiana.
