Summary

The intention of archaeological monitoring and sampling was to determine the presence or absence of cultural resources within the waterline corridor, to assess the nature and chronology of the features/sites identified, to ensure the collection of sufficient archaeological materials, and to assess the significance of identified resources. Two archaeological sites - Site 4853 Locale 5, and Site 4857, both of which are considered eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places, may be located in the waterline corridor.
