Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings

Year: 1992

Summary

Six pollen and two phytolith samples were examined to evaluate preservation

of these remains in the Boca Profile near Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Ttoo of the pollen

samples and the two phytolith samples represent stratigraphic deposits. One

pollen sample was collected as a groundstone wash. Three pollen samples were

also examined from hearths dating between 1120 and 1380 BP. Charcoal was also

examined from these hearths for identification. This preliminary study was

conducted entirely as a feasibility study to determine applicability of further

research for stratigraphic or feature samples.
