Summary

Three pieces of groundstone recovered from the Diamond Bar project in the northeastern

Los Angeles Basin were submitted for pollen, phytolith, and x-ray diffraction analysis to determine

what substances might have been ground using these tools. In addition, a sediment sample was

examined for pollen and phytoliths to provide a control for interpreting these records.
