Summary

Nine phytolith samples and six pollen samples were submitted for analysis from Tor al-Tareeq

and Thalab al-Buhayra, Jordan as part of the Eastern Hasa Late Pleistocene Project

(EHLPP). These samples represent Early Upper Paleolithic deposits along an ancient lake at

Thalab al-Buhayra and Early Epipaleolithic and Neolithic occupations at Tor al-Tareeq. Pollen and

phytolith analyses was undertaken to inform concerning local vegetation associated with a

Pleistocene lake and a series of marshes.
