Summary

A Hozomeen chert biface recovered from the surface of site 45WH263 was submitted

for protein residue analysis. This site is located in Whatcom County, Washington, near the

Canadian border, and is situated within the draw down zone of Ross Lake Reservoir. Residue

from this tool was extracted and tested against various protein antisera to determine if it had

been used to process or procure animal resources.
