Summary

Samples from features at four sites in the Sand Hollow Reservoir Project area of Washington County, southwestern Utah, were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. The majority of these samples were excavated from features at site 42WS2820. Stratigraphic pollen columns from two localities at 42WS2820 were sampled in an effort to define past vegetation and infer paleoenvironmental conditions. Pollen and macrofloral analyses of samples from features at the archaeological sites will be used to provide information concerning plants available to and utilized by the various prehistoric occupants in this area.
