Summary

Samples from resulting from Phase II excavations of hearth, pit, and postmold features

at the Shohola Flatts site, 36PI169, along the Delaware River in northeast Pennsylvania were

floated to recover macrofloral remains. This site is a multi-component open air site with

occupations ranging from the Archaic through Proto Historic periods. Macrofloral analysis is

used to provide information concerning plant resources that were utilized by the various

occupants of this site.
