Letter from Stanley Graves to John Brenneman, Programmatic Agreement Expiration, Fort Sam Houston, Texas

Author(s): Stanley O. Graves

Year: 1996

Summary

This correspondence was written by the Texas Historical Commission to inform Fort Sam Houston that the Programmatic Agreement among the Department of the Army, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation and the Texas State Historic Preservation Office for the operation, maintenance and development of Fort Sam Houston, Texas (PA) expired on May 16, 1996. In the interim between the expiration of the former PA and the signature of the next agreement document, the Commission proposes that the terms of the former PA are considered to be in effect. The Commission expects that these conditions will be in effect for no longer than four to six weeks. Extension of the PA will allow exclusions from Section 106 coordination to continue.

Copied to this correspondence is Claudia Nissley (Advisory Council on Historic Preservation), Joan Gaither (Society for the Preservation of Fort Sam Houston), and Sally Buchanan (San Antonio Conservation Society).
