U.S. Air Force Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan

Summary

This Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP) was developed to provide for effective management and protection of cultural resources. It summarizes the history and prehistory of the Travis Air Force Base (AFB) , and reviews past historical and archaeological survey efforts. It outlines and assigns responsibilities for the management of cultural resources, discusses related concerns, and provides standard operating procedures (SOPs) that will help to preserve the cultural resources of the installation within the context of the mission. The ICRMP is intended for use by all personnel involved in base planning. In lieu of federal, state or Final Governing Standards (FGS) requirements, Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32-7065, Cultural Resources Management, acts as the main driver for the ICRMP. The Cultural Resources Management Playbook serves as supplemental guidance to this plan.

This ICRMP Revision is a five-year plan and covers fiscal years (FY) 2015 through 2020. The revised plan is divided into sections that provide the information and processes for managing cultural resources on Travis AFB and interacting with the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), and Tribal Historic Preservation Officers (THPOs) for tribes with an interest in activities at Travis AFB. The purpose of this revised plan is to provide updated information and guidance for personnel involved in the planning and management of cultural resources as well as the planning and management of activities/program/projects

that may have an effect on the cultural resources of Travis AFB.
