Summary

This document presents the results of archaeological monitoring during ground-disturbing activities conducted for the rehabilitation of an existing public park within Sherman Parkway. The project involved monitoring ground disturbing activities at two locations within the Sherman Parkway Park: a 250-ft-wide buffer zone that surrounds the prehistoric village site of Casa Chica, AZ T:12:412(ASM) and within a 50-ft-wide buffer zone on either side of a prehistoric canal. The site number AZ T:12:412(ASM) is used by Pueblo Grande Museum (PGM) to refer to P:2:3(GP) (Montero 2013), but the number is not in AZSITE. In these areas, LSD monitored the excavation of 11 holes for the installation of 5 grills, 2 benches, and 1 sign.
