Inventory and Evaluation of the C. C. Cragin Project (formerly Blue Ridge Project), Coconino and Gila Counties, Arizona

Summary

The Bureau of Reclamation, Phoenix Area Office contracted with Statistical Research, Inc (SRI) to complete an inventory, documentation, and assessment of eligibility for listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) of the C. C. Cragin Project (formerly known as Blue Ridge Dam) prior to the planned dam-safety modifications as prescribed by the Reclamation Safety of Dams Act of 1978, as amended (U.S. Code, Title 43, Chapter 12, Subchapter XI-A).The C. C. Cragin Project is located in Coconino and Tonto National Forests, Coconino and Gila Counties, Arizona.

SRI evaluated 6 buildings and 11 structures composing the C. C. Cragin Project. SRI recommends the Project components as not individually eligible for listing in the NRHP, but recommends the Project components eligible as a district for listing in the NRHP under Criterion A.
