Summary
The assessment was part of the cultural resource archeological baseline survey requested by Headquarters Air Education and Training Command. The assessment included a review of previous cultural resources investigations, an archeological reconnaissance survey of approximately 182 hectares (450 acres) of open areas on the base and 15 acres at the recreation area at Lake Nasworthy, and the identification of buildings and structures built between 1942 and 1955.
No archaeological resources were identified in the area and no further archaeological investigations are recommended for the base or the recreation area.
