Historic Property Investigation Pursuant to Canaveral Sand Bypass, Brevard County, Florida
Summary
This report describes a cultural resource magnetometer investigation of four delineated areas which may be potentially affected by proposed expansions to the nearshore borrow area of the Canaveral Harbor Federal Sand Bypass Project. Areas A and B extend about 3,440 ft northward of the existing borrow limits, and represent the nearshore (submerged) and upland portions of this extension, respectively. Area C is landward of the existing borrow limits, and corresponds to that portion of the upland (dune) which may be potentially impacted by beach profile recession (equilibration) subsequent to borrow activities extending up to the mean high water line.
