Summary

Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District (SRP) requested that Logan Simpson Design Inc. (LSD) perform a Class Ill cultural resources survey of the proposed Abel Generation Peaking Plant Site. The project area is a combination of recently plowed, planted, and fallow agricultural fields located near Queen Creek, Pinal County, Arizona. The project area encompasses 513 acres of private land adjacent to the intersection of Quail Run Lane and Bella Vista Road and includes a north-south running, 130-ft-wide by 1-mile-long corridor immediately west of Attaway Road. Because of crop cover, only 351 acres of the project area was surveyed.
