Summary

These images show examples of activities and well-known locations from the Archeological Survey of Cape Cod National Seashore conducted between 1979 and 1984 by the regional archeology program of the the North Atlantic Regional Office, National Park Service.

** Photo #1 [a17-caco_survey_roll_10_frame_14.tif] shows two of the Archeology Survey crew working in the field lab analyzing and cataloging recovered artifacts or other material.

** Photo #2 [a15-caco_high_head_smalls_swamp_1982.tif] shows the swamp-filled kettle hole known as Smalls Swamp in the Pilgrim Heights (North Truro) area of the Seashore. The perspective is looking north towards the end of High Head with Smalls Swamp in the foreground. The photo was taken from or near the Smalls Swamp Overlook structure.

** Photo #3 [a16-caco_man.tif] shows an example of shovel test digging and screening of test fill in dense vegetation.
