Excavations in the Casma Valley have been conducted for decades. Analysis of 20 pollen samples from the 2002 field season at Sechin Alto (C24) and Taukachi-Konkan (C23) reflects a very small portion of the efforts, thus far, to understand the lives of people living in this area.
