This report is the seventh in the HAFB Cultural Resources Publication series, which was created to showcase the wide variety of projects made possible by LRMP and Conservation Program funding on HAFB. Alamogordo Army Air Field (now HAFB) played an important role as a Heavy and Very Heavy bomber crew training base during WW II. Crews completed final training at the base in B-17s, B-24s, and B-29s before receiving overseas assignments for the war in Europe and the Pacific.
