Dettifoss

The 2009 archaeological excavations at the c. 10th century AD site of Dettifoss, Iceland produced some 353 bone and shell fragments. Of these, 138 fragments were identifiable to species. The assemblage, though generally poorly-preserved, is comprised of a variety of domestic animals and wild bird and fish species.
