Summary

This report is a document that describes the results of an archaeological survey that has been conducted at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California (see Map 1) over the last three years by the author while working
in the capacity of Research Assistant and Research Anthropologist
for the University of California at Santa Barbara. Two separate contracts funded by the U. S. Air Force and administered by the National Park Service have helped to support an on going archaeological inventory survey of Vandenberg. The base includes some 153 square miles of varied terrain located along a 35-mile coastline. A report on the original contract (NPS-4970P00217) has already been completed (Spanne, 1971). The present report is submitted as a supplement to the first and contains a description of work completed under the second contract (NPS-4970P11194).
