Samples recovered from the Geneva Road Burial site (42UT1222) in Provo, Utah, were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. This site consists of a shallow, slightly bell-shaped pit that contained a single set of juvenile human remains. Pollen and macrofloral samples were examined from a single hearth area surrounded by lithics and bones at the Vivendi site, 24CA0656, near Great Falls, Montana. This site is a single component Pelican Lake open camp used for meat processing activities. Faunal remains recovered at the site include shell, eggshell, and bison, deer, bear and dog bone. Pollen and macrofloral analyses will be used to provide information concerning paleoenvironment, seasonality, and subsistence.

In addition, fill from a small hearth (Feature 1), was floated to recover evidence of foods processed and/or fuel used. This Southern Paiute site, occupied between AD 1460 and 1640, is located on a terrace on the south side of the Virgin River.
