Steve Nagiewicz

Steve Nagiewicz is a licensed ships Master and has over 41 years’ experience scuba diving. He is former Executive Director and Fellow of the Explorers Club, also a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and member of American Academy of Underwater Sciences, Society for Historical Archaeology and the Register of Professional Archaeologists. Steve also managed the State of New Jersey’s Marine Sciences Laboratory at Sandy Hook, NJ.

Nagiewicz has his Master’s Degree from Stockton University. He currently teaches at Atlantic City High School and at Stockton University. He has been featured on episodes of National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Drive by History (NJ PBS). He his first book is titled; Hidden History of Maritime New Jersey, 2016 and co-author on his second book published by University of Florida Press ROBERT J. WALKER. The History and Archaeology of a Pioneer Steamship of the U.S. Coast Survey. 2020
