Through this process, the Northwest Bay site was determined to be ineligible for inclusion on the National Register. The Oak Hill #1 site is located in Minden, Montgomery County, New York. It includes the village and the adjacent cemetery. This site is important for understanding Mohawk epidemics and population decline in the second quarter of the seventeenth century. Starting in the 1920s the site was dug by Douglas Ayers.
