In 1994 Shaw Air Force Base acquired the unused Rosemary Fire Tower site in the former Manchester State Forest in Sumter County, South Carolina. Currently the area is part of the natural area surrounding the Poinsett Electronic Combat Range. The South Carolina Department of Archives and History determined the Rosemary Site eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places on April 7th 1995.
