Pollen and macrofloral samples were taken at site 32MZ233, a stone circle site located McKenzie County, North Dakota. The site is located within the Missouri Plateau physiographic region along the northern edge of an upland grassland, which drops sharply to the rugged, eroded breaks of the Missouri Valley.
