POLLEN ANALYSIS OF TIPI RINGS FROM 24TT83 (1985)

Site 24TT83 is a tipi ring site located on the north side of the Teton River in an old meander scar at an elevation of 1067 m (3500 ft). The present vegetation is dominated by grasses (blue grama and wheat grass). Occasional prickly pear (Opuntia), small sage (Artemisia), and club moss (Lycopodium) were also observed at the site. The Teton River supports a riparian community, including deciduous trees, some 200-300 m west of the site. Four tipi rings ranging in date from 280 to 1080...
