A History of Fort Amador and Fort Grant - The Former Panama Canal Zone, Republic of Panama (Legacy 93-1326)
Forts Amador and Grant were constructed to guard the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal, which reverted to the Republic of Panama at the end of 1999, concluding a unique period in both countries' histories.
