EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL/DETRITAL CHARCOAL AND AMS RADIOCARBON AGE DETERMINATION OF MATERIAL FROM HOLOCENE TERRACES NEAR ISLAND PARK, IDAHO, AND WEST YELLOWSTONE, MONTANA (2012)
DOCUMENT Full-Text Kathryn Puseman.

Two bulk soil samples and twenty-seven detrital charcoal samples collected along the Henrys Fork River in northeast Idaho and southwest Montana were examined to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon age determination. These samples were recovered from soil pits on Holocene terraces. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated. A total of eight samples were processed for radiocarbon age determination.
