Site 32MZ278, located on an open, rolling grassland in McKenzie County, was sampled for pollen. The site occupies the western and southern exposures of a large hill approximately 3.5 miles south of the last recorded channel of the Missouri River. Pollen and macrofloral analyses were conducted at site 32MZ727 in conjunction with archaeological mitigation. This stone circle site is located on an isolated hill in the breaks overlooking the Missouri River This analysis was undertaken for the purpose of identifying any pollen or floral remains associated with cultural activity.
