Soil samples from a pithouse and from a slab-lined cist at Site 42SA23045 in southeast Utah were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. This site is believed to be a multicomponent Anasazi habitation site with an associated artifact scatter and several locations of historic and prehistoric rock art. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to provide subsistence information concerning plant resources that may have been utilized by the prehistoric occupants of the site.

Samples from five kivas (West, Central, East, Northeast, and Great) in front of the Great House at Site 42SA22674 in Bluff, Utah, were analyzed for pollen and macrofloral remains. Flotation and botanic samples also were recovered from the Great House, areas of berm/midden around the Great House, the North Wall, and the Plaza.
