Sediments in the Wesley Chapel Gulf were cored to provide a stratigraphic record for examining past vegetation. Ninety-five pollen samples were examined from this core to provide close-interval examination of the paleoenvironmental record. At this writing, no information is available concerning the basal date for this core, nor the approximate time period of accumulation for the sediments.
