Several cores were extracted from sediments of the peninsula between the Bush and Gunpowder Rivers near Edgewood Maryland. Samples were extracted at irregular intervals from eleven of these cores and submitted for environmental pollen analysis in order to assist in determining ages for strata underlying the peninsula.
