Excavation project 888M is located east of the Pecos River in southeastern New Mexico in the Mescalero Sands. The site is located within the parabolic dune setting of the sand sheet. Two thermal features, with no associated artifacts, were discovered during ground clearing activities for the preparation of a well pad.
